In order to organize the filming, we had at first to choose an actor which wasn't the most difficult part as my colleague, Iulio previously collaborated with the actor in question for one of his artistic projects (modeling for realistic drawing). So Iulio thought that in return, he could've worked for us, as he also had the perfect profile of a perfectionist artist.
My colleague, at first thought of making a female character to challenge the conventions and the view that people usually have regarding poets, who are often seen as male, also, the fact of a woman sinks into the madness and addiction to drugs and alcohol is an uncommon aspect in films.
Yet, having no suited female profiles for this role, or unavailable actors. Iulio had to decide and stick with the norms and take a male character.
After choosing the character, the second part was to stick to a location, which wasn't complicated neither, since we did not want to depend on the weather nor the lighting, therefore, we chose to film inside my house.
Lastly, we had to decide on a date, which was the complexity in all the organization: Since we are working as a team and a pair (myself filming and editing, and Iulio directing) we had to be together in order to film; meaning that we had to decide on a date that all three of us (The actor, myself and Iulio) would be available to film.
As we had a four-day weekend, we thought about filming during those days, but unfortunately, I fell sick for the first two days and then had to go to Italy, therefore, needed to cancel the filming and postpone it.
Now, Monday the 17th of February, 3:48 PM, the filming dates are still unclear since the vacations are coming and Iulio am also leaving back for two weeks in his home country.
